Set amongst Sriracha's jungle covered hills, the Bangphra International Golf Club may only be located 80 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, but sure leaves the golfer really feeling at one with nature. With natural hazards such as trees, ponds and lakes flanking many of the fast greens the course offers spectacular, yet often difficult, holes in a truly environmentally friendly setting. Although orifinall opened in 1958, this famous Japan Golf Promotion Co and Torism Authority of Thailand (TAT) developed course had its first nine completely redesigned in 1987 to incorporate more water hazards. The back nine may now lack the front's fine array of water hazards, but more than make up for it with its challenging dog-leg holes that meander up and down the hill. |
| For
those wishing to stay for longer than a quick round, the Bangphra Resort
Hotel stands nearby, offering luxurious and plush accommodation, while
those of a younger disposition may want to visit Bangphra's open zoo. |
