The resort
is a 110 all-cottage deluxe property, located directly on Pansea
Beach. It first opened in 1982 as Pansea Hotel and was renovated
in 1989. In 1995, General Hotel Management took over the management
of the hotel and renamed the hotel The Chedi, Phuket.
LOCATION
The Chedi is centrally located on the island of Phuket, only 25
minutes from the Airport, 30 minutes from Phuket Town and 20 minutes
from the nightlife of Patong.
The resort
provides a daily shuttle bus service between the hotel and Phuket
Town and Patong at set times. The Chedi is one of the few resorts
in Phuket which is actually located directly on the beach. From
your cottage you will hear the relaxing sound of the waves of
the Andaman Sea. Pansea beach is a secluded bay.
AN ISLAND

Most of the
island remains unchanged, with residents enjoying a relaxed, easygoing
lifestyle like their ancestors did centuries ago. The main town
is dotted with charming Sino-Portuguese style buildings constructed
by settlers who once came in search of tin, rubber and minerals.
Yet despite
all its attractions, tourists only discovered Phuket a decade
ago. So while the island now has an international airport, modern
facilities and world-class service standards, it still has the
natural charms that make it an island paradise to those who visit

COTTAGES
All 109 cottages have verandahs, handcrafted teak floors and restful
bedrooms leading to spacious dressing areas. The one-bedroom cottage
accommodates two adults in a queen size double bed and one child
in a sofa bed.
The two-bedroom
cottage accommodates up to four adults and one child, in a queen
size double bed and three single beds. All cottages are categorised
by their location within the resort.
WINE &
DINE All The Chedi’s restaurants offer imaginative menus,
which combine continental favorites, the exotic flavors of the
east and exquisite Thai cuisine.
LOM TALAY
THAI RESTAURANT Designed by the famous American architect Ed Tuttle,
serving authentic Thai food amid the tasteful decor filled with
Thai charm while retaining simplicity and friendliness. Backed
by nightly live Thai classical music. Indoor and outdoor seating
is available to take in the sweeping view of the Andaman Sea and
gentle southern breezes.

BEACH RESTAURANT
The aquamarine waters of the Andaman Sea at Pansea Bay provide
the idyllic scenery for the Beach Restaurant, a unique place offering
scrumptious salads, steaks, Thai specialties and a wide variety
of barbecue seafood in a relaxing, tranquil atmosphere.
The Beach Restaurant is a seasonal outlet, open only between October
to early May. Opening hours: 1
2:00 to 17:00 for lunch
18:30 to 22:30 for dinner
SUNSET CAFE
Great views of the deep blue Andaman Sea and dramatic black swimming
pool; the ideal place to sit back, relax and watch the world go
by. Sunset Cafe offers the best in Western and Thai cuisine as
well as snacks and refreshments for sunbathers throughout the
day. Opening hours: 11:00 to 22:30
SUNSET BAR
A casually elegant bar serving refreshments, cocktails and after
dinner drinks. The perfect place to relax after an active day
sightseeing. The Sunset Bar offers an unrivaled view across the
Andaman Sea towards a brilliant Phuket sunset. Opening hours:
10:30 to midnight
During several
nights of the week, The Chedi offers special evening entertainment
in one of the restaurants. Join our casual Beach B.B.Q on Pansea
Beach or enjoy the elegant Thai dancers whilst savoring the Thai
Village style Buffet in the Lom Talay Restaurant.
BOAT HOUSE
WATERSPORTS AND RECREATION Located on the beach, the Boat house
provides a large range of non-motorised water sports and other
recreational facilities to our guests, on a complimentary basis.
CONFERENCES
The Chedi provides all the comfort and facilities you would expect
from an island resort in addition to a meeting and conference
room, in perfect harmony with its inspired setting.
