The short distance protected the resort from damage during the recent destruction on Phuket. The staff at Anchan regrets the political turmoil occurring in Bangkok, but guests should know that Phuket remains peaceful, and guests can still experience the traditional Thai hospitality. To avoid any delays, air traffic should preferably avoid Bangkok airports. If connections are required, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Kuala Lumpur are alternatives.

There is an on-site spa, established to the highest international standards, a restaurant offering gourmet Thai and International cuisine and access to a peaceful beach.

Phuket is known for fine restaurants and an active night life in the Patong Beach area which is a 30 minute drive from the resort. Anchan Resort & Spa is located within a short walk to Bang Tao Beach, home to the famed Laguna Resorts, the premier resort location on Phuket. Guests will have access to private beach chairs reserved for guests of Anchan Resort & Spa at Bang Tao Beach. The resort is 25 minutes away from Phuket Town, major shopping department stores and Phuket International Airport, and 15 minutes away from the Two Ladies Historic Monument, a well known and respected place for Thai people. These women protected Phuket Island from the Burmese. From the monument to the waterfall is about 10 minutes and 20 minutes to the Ao-Po Pier. Laempromthep Cape which is recommended for a tourist visit for beautiful sunset viewing, is located in the south of the island and takes about 45 minutes from the resort.
